Golden day!

What a day for the YFC Marquee at the Bath and West Show. Our golden girl Katie came through again and won the category for the best Agricultural stand for the second year running. The theme of Wetlands proved very popular and the end result with Mr Tbays Bridge, in the shot above, was very spectacular! The judge agreed! All the hard work paid off and we had a bunch of very happy Young Farmers.

Mr Tbay was also involved in the Prince of Wales Competition and one of the extras is of him delivering his speech and then the results. The award went to Stogumber Cricket Club who had turned the Cricket Club into a community resource helping youngsters, the school and those with disabilities enjoy their facilities. They also helped and encouraged fundraising in their area too. A very worthy winner.

Mr and Mrs Tbay Jnr plus the children also managed to get away for the day as the weather was not at all good early on so stopped any hope of work other than routine. The third extra today is of little miss standing on the bridge that Grandpa made!

After lunch Mr Tbay and I had a wander through the various shops before heading back the YFC Marquee for an afternoon reception. One of the quest speakers was the NFYFC deputy chairman Katie Hall . She is just lovely and will make a great national chairman next year.

After this reception we then headed for the Show Society Presidents Reception. Another tipple or two (for Mr Tbay not me and guess who was driving!!) and some canapés followed by some more speeches. Then it was time for Home.

FYI. - my feet hurt a lot!
