The top of the beach ....

..... and it's just covered with clumps of poppies .... some have lost their petals, some are in full bloom, some are just emerging from their hairy casing and some have still some growing to do.

A wee bit chillier at the coast but after the heat of the last few days it's good to have air to breathe again. I don't think there has been any rain here .... the grass is looking very dull and lifeless.

We did have some rain last night so the garden was looking very fresh this morning.  It will survive for a couple of days while I'm through in Elie looking forward to a trip to May Isle.
