Ash

A bird, a plane and an ash. Ash trees are very much in the news at the moment due to a nasty fungus. The trees round here look OK but I heard from a friend in Oxfordshire that all their local ash trees have dropped their leaves suspiciously early this year. :-(

This was on the way back from a couple of hours graft at the allotment; planted some shallots and sowed some pea seeds which I covered with fleece, as an experiment.

Later a friend came round to go for a meal at Suruchi Too, but we found it closed and in darkness. I do hope this isn't a permanent state of affairs. We ended up at the China Palace.
