Freeeeezing

Nibs went quite early today, Betsy's match was cancelled, and once we had picked Al up, I was left with two tired children, both missing their dad, dreading school tomorrow and with a long day stretching ahead of us.

I dragged them out to the park and it was so cold even Betsy didn't like it, and she is the biggest fresh air fiend I've ever known. Al's look of dismay and disbelief says it all really. It was eye wateringly cold and he moaned the entire time. Betsy was just frozen silent.

We gave up pretty early and came home for board games and cups of tea. A much better idea. Chris called and it cheered the children up for the duration of the call but made Betsy worse afterwards. She was very tearful. School time tomorrow morning will be awful, I just know it.

Oh well. We had a nice evening in the end watching Merlin and Strictly with sandwiches and hot chocolate.
