State Library of New South Wales
Spent the day exploring the Sydney CBD area. Started off at the State Library for their morning tour. Unfortunately due to the poor weather (chucking it down) the volunteer hadn’t arrive. However, instead we were given an individual tour of their very nice ‘friends room’ by Denise One and then shown the Shakespeare Room. The window is from this room depicting the stages of man from As You Like It. Denise Two explained the full history of the room and it’s amazing wood carvings / panelling. I think exploring a library at each city you visit is becoming a tradition of ours.
The afternoon was spent dodging the rain and seeing some of the touristy sights up at The Rocks. Dinner at El Loco (cocktails and tacos!), more rain dodging while walking home via Darling Harbour. We were not successful in staying dry but it had a great day!
