Green

We visited Crowden this very warm afternoon. I added an extra photo of the view to the bottom of Crowden Brook from the sleeper bridge.

Everything is green - I know why am I surprised but it was a bit overwhelming as it was so intensely green.

We say Broad Bodied Chaser Dragonflies again  they are good to watch.

The birds were harder to spot and the House Martins and Swallows only around in small numbers.   There were plenty of Blackcaps singing and 20 species seen at probably not the best time of day. 

A Spotted Flycatcher was  in a familiar location which helped lift the spirits.  

Butterflies are in short supply and the Peacock added as extra photo is the first of those I have seen since before the late snowfall in early Spring
