Grass trimming

Gym ✖️

No time for the gym today - a big tidy up after our houseguests departed. Washing done and hung out by 8am. The neighbour, who also had houseguests, hung her washing out too, so the back garden looked like a Chinese laundry (are we allowed to say that nowadays?)

I had plenty of hamstring workouts though - I took a mad notion to cut the grass edges. It was creeping over the pavers, but was easy to pull up and cut it like a carpet (with the good kitchen scissors - don’t tell JR). It looks very smart.

We were expecting visitors later in the afternoon, but they called it off at the last minute. Not sensible, really, to arrange something on the day you're flitting, as there were unexpected problems, surprise surprise. No worries, we ate the nibbles.

Elizabeth didn’t take Archie out today as she was busy, but she couldn’t miss him completely - she took him out this evening. When she came back, we cracked a bottle of bubbly with her - she's celebrating the sale of her flat, and buying her dream flat, all in the space of a few weeks. Well worth celebrating!
