13th Century

You may not have heard of the village of Plaitford a tiny village which lies astride the A36 trunk road from Southampton to Salisbury, and the River Blackwater, yet it boasts one of the smallest and picturesque churches in Hampshire.
But only just, it is on the Hampshire – Wiltshire border, and until 1895  was part of Wiltshire..
The church of St Peters dates from the 13th century and the flint stone walls are believed to be from that time, although the inside reflects more modern times with the interior of the walls plastered.
The vestry features what is thought to be an original window.
