A Giggle of Guiders

...my collective noun for a group of Guide Leaders!

It was the annual Edinburgh Girlguiding review at the City chambers this evening. No 3 was invited along with her Rainbows pack to sing the song they wrote to commemorate the Rainbows anniversary.

The girls were all suitable impressed with the sumptuous surroundings of the city chambers (and that was my alternative blip choice) - but No 3 was more impressed that there was a REAL Olympic Torch. This one was held by Jody who was a very inspirational 19 year old!

It was awe inspiring to hear tales of Brownies' trip to London and Germany, and cards from Buckingham Palace and to meet Jody. What crackin' role models for young girls.

I loved my time at Brownies and Guides in Inchinnan, and guide camp at South Newton (where we tuned in on the radio to Lynsey de Paul losing spectacularly in the Eurovision Song Contest (1977!!!!!)

Here's a very proud No 3 in full regalia clutching the big Torch itself !
