2018 Monday — Milk butter sugar eggs

My closest friend at the college where I teach is one of the librarians. When I saw an ad for this book in February I asked her to buy it. She did and put “rush” on the order and I checked it out. The way I read is simply two pages or so a day. So finally I am finishing Abigail Thomas’s book. I took a detour to read a biography of “Stevie Nicks” (of Fleetwood Mac fame — had that book borrowed from the Cayucos library and had to keep re-newing it), so I am just getting back to “What Comes Next” (I find the timing amusing). Her earlier book. Three Dog Life is about losing her husband (he was hit by a car and died years later). She is a teacher of writing and I love non-fiction and am attracted to her style (sort of).
