Great Skua
We had fabulous weather today for our walk around the nature reserve on the Isle of Noss.
The most impressive sight were the thousands of gannets on the cliffs at the Noup of Noss. See kwdiane’s main picture.
There were several great skua on the island as well and the wardens deter people from going to the centre so as not to disturb these ground nesting birds that are renowned for dive bombing people who get close to their nests.
I’ve added a couple of extras of a gannet and an arctic tern
