Day 1.

Today we travelled to Kendal in the Lake District preferring not to complete the whole journey to Scotland in one day.

What fantastic weather, how good does everywhere look when the sun is shining. Although the journey was rather arduous with numerous road works on the M6 and all the diversions we took to avoid them full of others doing the same, as soon as we arrived all that was forgotten.

Tonight's hotel is called The Riverside and, as you can see, it is aptly named.

We walked around the very pleasant town both before and after dinner and as the extra shows the duck and swan food RF purchased was a hit with the locals.
