2018 Friday — Farmers Market
Day 15 of Summer Vacation
Farmers Market on Friday afternoons in Cambria on California’s Central Coast is where we like to be. The ocean air had a definite early summer chill, but the sun illuminated the entire place.
After dropping off our soup jars, we walked across the street to visit the Cambria Library. We both borrowed several books and DVDs, and I purchased a Pat Conroy memoir, My Losing Season, For $1. Anything by Pat Conroy for a dollar is a real find!
This morning we noticed our next door neighbor to the north had real estate “open house” signs in front of the house. So we walked over to lookey-lou. It is a McMansion. It was designed by and built for a well-known architect from here on the Central Coast. Our neighbors have owned it for a number of years. While the outside of the house looks nice, it doesn’t reveal that the inside is absolutely spectacular. We’ll be interested to see what happens now. The house to the south of us has been on the market since early October 2016, almost two years.
This has been our first full Friday of summer on the Central Coast and it has been very enjoyable.
