2019 Saturday — Spanish War Veterans 1898 - 1902

We drove to Southern California this morning from the Central Coast because our great-grandbaby is about to arrive.

We stopped several times along the way. Our last stop was in the Regional Park in Arcadia. That’s where we saw this statue.

“The Spanish–American War was an armed conflict between Spain and the United States in 1898. Hostilities began in the aftermath of the internal explosion of USS Maine in the Havana harbor in Cuba, leading to U.S. intervention in the Cuban War of Independence.”
