Visit to Dumfries

A glorious, Summer day

We drove up to Dumfries in time to attend the Service at Dumfries Baptist Church. They have just opened their amazing new building. We were warmly greeted, we gave greetings from our own Church and after the Service we were given a tour of the facilities. They are already being used by the Community. We then had lunch while watching England win their match rather easily. We then had a walk round the river Nith embankments and the Centre. We popped into the Robert Burns Museum where we discovered connections with the beautiful Friars Carse Hotel where we are staying (in the photo).

Before dinner we enjoyed a walk along the river Nith which borders the grounds of the Hotel.
