Head Over Heels
One of those rare, yet delightful happy-go-lucky days with Audrey.
She woke every two hours last night there or there abouts - 10.30pm, 1am, 3am, 5am then 7am. Which was good. No, really....that was good especially after her waking every half hour for the past two nights. I felt quite weirdly rested. Apparently new Mums' bodies adapt to a different sleep cycles eventually; entering into deep sleep quicker. Figures.
We decided to stay local today which in hindsight was a great plan. No pressure.
So it was a walk round Chorlton Green, some brunch at Gabriels (where the lovely Laura and Sam joined us for a cappuccino and chat as they were passing) and then onto Head over Heels.
We've heard a lot about Head over Heels, an indoor soft play baby and toddler centre in Chorlton but I always presumed Audrey was too small too appreciate it. How wrong could I be? It blew her tiny mind. She loved it and was trying to wriggle free of my arms as soon as we got there.
It was amazing to see her so excited by all the colours, sounds and sights of the place. Little toddlers kept running over to us to look at Audrey which was beyond cute too. We rolled about on the mats, played with the toys and climbed into the adventure playground to look in the mirrors.
Before I had her, I would never have seen myself enjoying a day like today. But it felt great, I felt like a proper Mum and I loved it. There's a pattern forming here.
