Magaliesberg Mountain

The Magaliesberg Mountain range stretches over many kilometres in the North West Province. Our town is surrounded by the mountains, an awesome view from any one of our windows!

There are lots of breathtaking trails and nature resorts in the mountains. The 'Cradle of Mankind' is in this mountain range, there is a 'Canopy Tour', where you swing, harnessed to strong cables, over the treetops from one high mountain peak to the other, a cable car, which takes you to a high viewpoint to look over the Hartbeespoortdam area and some parts of Pretoria, and many more

This part of the mountain is seen when we drive back to our house from Rustenburg. I blipped this part of the mountain range today because it fascinates me since many moons ago! When I was a young child, I always asked if the wind blew very hard one day, and blew all the mountain tops to one side, quite a big part of the mountain range is actually 'blown over' like that. He-he-he
