Richard Scott

Spent the morning replacing the bar tape on the tourer. It was looking a bit ragged and worn, especially as the bike is over 6 years old.

After lunch, my partner went down to Newington visiting the charity shops as well as afternoon coffee and cake. Clerk Street and Nicholson Street are being resurfaced, so normal crossing points have moved. A blue circle on a medical centre building on West Richmond Street caught my eye. The plaque is for Richard Scott, James Mackenzie Professor of Medicine in relation to General Practice, and the first professor of General Practice in the world.

A nice warm day in Edinburgh, and a nice evening as well.
