Club 60!

Today we were off the mark to get out sharpish and procure a new parking permit. I had been meaning to rush down town to the council offices to get one, but JR checked online, and you now get them away out of town. But good news! The £120 cost of the permit is now £35! Something to do with our CO2 emissions... we even got a rebate. Yay!
As we were over that side of town, we continued on out west, to South Queensferry - always a good day out there. Even better today, because we had lunch at a certain well known chain specialising in fish'n'chips. We could sit outside, with a fabulous view of the bridges, and a wee gently wispy breeze so that we didn’t overheat. I spotted the 'Club 60' menu for 'old folk' at £7.99 - fish'n'chips, hot drink, and ice cream or bread and butter pudding! My favourite! Well, one of my favourites.
I could not resist.
There was a huge cruise ship in, and lots of their wee ferry boats were bringing passengers in to be loaded on to buses and taken to the city, while the other half just arrived back by bus and were being ferried back to the ship for their lunch. Quite an operation.
We the drove on to Port Edgar for a nose around, and even stopped in Forthport's favourite cafe (possibly because he can look at the Landy shop next door) but we didn’t indulge, having had our 'Club 60' lunch.
The car was fun, though the Sat Nav was a pain in the neck. I was trying out different ones on my phone. And I couldn’t turn her OFF! She kept telling us to do completely daft things. She'd even just talk over the radio. Will have to get that sorted.
Archie was down by my feet for the whole journey. He was nice and cool there, and can rest his head in my hand if he needs to. He looked pretty miserable throughout, which is normal, but he wasn’t sick! We're not getting too excited though...
I had to lie on the sofa when we came home, just in time to catch the spectacular end to Germany's World Cup.
