So, this pair of pictures definitely needs explanation.
I was rummaging through a desk drawer at work when a big black knob fell from my chair and onto the carpet. I immediately hopped off my chair and bent down to inspect from exactly which region of the chair it originated and how to properly replace it.
Upon having successfully screwed the knob back in its place, I quickly stood up, having completely forgotten that the drawer was still wide open and dangerously jutting out. One of its sharp corners made direct contact with the nape of my back and left a lovely mark.
I would tell you how long that scratch is, but it is hard enough taking a snapshot by holding the camera behind my back, let alone holding up both a ruler and a camera. And it is much more difficult than I thought it would be to draw a lil red blood drop behind my back while looking at the mirror. The result of my attempt ended up being not so little.
Now that I think about it, I could have tried to use my waistband to hold up the ruler just like how I had tucked in the evidence marker, but my metal ruler would have been too heavy to have stayed put - it would have probably scratched my leg as it slid all the way down my pant leg.
Yes, I am a clutz.
Oh, and I chose this shortcut simply because I realized while I was working that I really should know this one.
