Sentry duty

We went for a picnic in Burghley Park for lunch and had a rather bliss full time under a tree (chosen by the eldest).  They park staff were setting up for 'Battle Proms' which is on tomorrow evening, so it was interesting seeing everything being organised. We had a walk around the park where there were some horses, which we could only assume are part of the proms tomorrow evening and a whole lot of old guns. 

The eldest took charge of the 'proper' camera, I'd love to see the pictures, but he seems to have lost the battery.  I know better than to let him play with the camera.  I love this picture of the two of them in the sentry box outside Burghley house. 

Back to Granny and Grandpa's and the boys spent ages playing in the summer house - they had a brilliant time.  The eldest fell asleep in the car on the way home and I put him straight into bed (at 5.30), hoping to goodness that he sleeps all the way through.
