Cooling off...

How lovely to be drifting along on a cooling breeze, high up in a blue sky on a sunny Summer’s evening...

Sorry to all of you sun worshippers out there but today has been just too hot for me: 31°C in the shade, and 30°C in the house, even with all the curtains shut. So today has been spent trying to cool off, and all was going well until there was a burning smell, a bang, an orange flash and the electric fan blew up!

Now it’s nearing 9pm, and as the day cools off to a pleasant 24°C (my perfect temperature), the garden is the coolest place to be. The bees are still busy going about their business, enjoying the cool of the day, I’ve a cooling drink in my hand and hot air balloons are sailing overhead on a cooling breeze...
