Feeling French
I actually felt a little bit French today, au niveau de la nourriture at least!
In the morning we visited the market in Le Puy, the first time I've been since I arrived, and it was certainly very French. Charcuterie, bread and pastries everywhere. We were shown around by Hati and Dom and then went off to stock up on vegetables and bread on our own. Alex bought cakes in the shape of a tea cup (he still insists it's an espresso!) and a penguin which we happily dismembered! A lunch of bread and cheeses also added to the francophone feeling!
Next, we braved the supermarket, not one I had been to before (there are plenty in the area) and not one I intend to visit again. It was busy and chlaustrophobic. In the evening we made carbonara, drank cheap wine and ate cake in bed whilst watching American Beauty. That's my kind of Saturday.
