Summer Days in The Fens - Day 2!
Ely Market
The (very reluctant) patient is recovering well. In fact he’s doing so well that he decided to try a morning at work today (there’s just no stopping some people/men!). So this morning I headed into Ely on the bus for a quick mooch around the market to buy some Sunflowers, and to take advantage of the library’s free WiFi, which is where I am right now. Even warmer today, 26°C, with fair weather cloud and hazy sunshine.
Thank you for your kind comments and stars for yesterday’s blip, sorry for my lack of comments. Must dash, there’s a bus to catch, and with only three buses a day, I daren’t miss it! Once again, if anything exciting happens later in the day, I’ll add an update tomorrow...
Yesterday’s update: arrived safely in Ely on an overcast muggy afternoon, 25°C. In the evening went for a stroll around the village where we came across wee pup Pedro, who was obviously very young and very lost. M went across the fields searching for the pup’s owners while I hung on to Pedro who was so sweet and desperate for affection and cuddles. Luckily M managed to find the pup’s owner and they were eventually reunited. Turns out Pedro was only 9 weeks old, maybe a bit too young to be allowed off the leash out in the fields... (Have added a couple of extras to yesterday’s journal just for my memory book, including one of wee Pedro.)
