The Village Pond

Walked across the green this morning first thing to buy a newspaper and some wine (as you do!!!)…. on the way back I stopped at the pond for a minute and liked the contrast between the green of the pond and the brown of the grass on the green.

We visited Neil for coffee, Sarah was at work and the boys at school.... we had a lovely chat and Bob had a tour of the house as he had not been there before.

We came back to the village and treated Helen to lunch as a 'thank you'.... at Restaurant 43, a really lovely restaurant just around the corner in the village.  The three of us sat outside in the sunshine and had a lovely lunch before heading to Stansted and home.

The plane was delayed and we ended up sitting on the tarmac for 2 hours..... a long boring time..... but we eventually got home safe and sound.

It was a great week, and can't wait for Helen to come up in September.
