I’m a runner-up in a photographic competition I entered a while back, run by Historic England on the subject of ‘heritage at risk’. This is the first part of my prize, the second being part of a touring exhibition of the top entries around the South-East later this year. Exciting!

In other news, it’s still very hot. I’ve moved my work station to the dining table which is in the coolest room in the house. The patio door is open, the curtains are closed and the dogs are flopping around. I’m not sure if they’ll be getting a walk for the foreseeable future. All I see when I look out at the garden is a big space where a swimming pool should be!
