Cabanes des Pecheurs

To my mind like a setting for  a western film, these cabanes perch on the edge of an etang twixt sea and land. In a coast as developed as the Mediterranean, it is good that one can still find corners that have not been spoilt. This corner included a stunning 5 km walk around a headland along with some salines full of waders. Excellent.
The morning had been taken with buying wine. One was a tried and tested vigneron from whom I have purchased wine regularly and involved a brief chat on hunting and sanglier.
The second at a vigneron we had not visited before involved an hour of an increasingly bizarre take on organic wine making and French politicians, most of whom Monsieur made quite clear he was not a fan off. He ended with a warning not to visit Paris in September because off all the unrest in the rentree.
In the evening a visit to a French friend in Bizes who kindly gave us some more of his art work for our walls before more excellent food, wine and company.
