Emotional day. Got up at Silly O’Clock to take The Girl Racer to Heathrow. Dealt with it okay but as the day wore on ...

Just as well one of the neighbours had a little birthday party. It gave us a diversion from missing her. Sort of.

Stunning vegan cake cooked by one of the family who were hosting, a young woman with a great career as a baker if she wants it, tasted fab. Rainbow layer cake. Yum.

Spent time in between ferrying stones and cleaning the kitchen. Now six in the evening and not sure what to do with myself. All disoriented and confused. TGR should land in Vancouver fairly soon.

Been a great week. Love my family.
