The Beagle

Charlie has moved into new flat, relieved, I think, to be living on her own at the age of twenty-seven. Today, Dan, Abi, and I went down to visit for the first time. The flat's in a nice area, Chorlton, on a wide, pleasant street, tucked away from the main roads.

It reminds me a lot of the first flat I had with her mother, in that the exterior and downstairs hall belie just how nice the flat itself is. And, like her mum, Charlie has applied herself to making the flat feel like home, spending her evenings in the first week repainting the walls and decorating it in her own style.

After we'd had a look 'round, the four of us walked into Chorlton to meet up with Hannah, who'd come out on the tram, and to have lunch at The Beagle, which I would heartily recommend. The food was very good and the company, even if I do say so myself, was excellent.
