Hoy Sound (Day 1188)
Another wet start to the day, and today a wet rabbit for the woofers to chase up the hill. Much to their annoyance it disappeared into thick, wet undergrowth.
Later I trundled to town, dropping the strimmers off for servicing, then collecting some bits at the merchant's before heading for a little job. It took a little longer than expected as I had to work out the plumbing system in a house which the new occupier is unfamiliar with. Despite being parked in the customer's driveway, I had a phone call from the police telling me that my van was causing an obstruction. Clearly whoever reported me had only tried to walk up one side of the van, there was plenty of space on the other side. *sigh*
Heading home for lunch, I was expecting to get out for a wander with my beautiful wife and the woofers as the weather improved, but I was called out to look at a job in Stromness instead. Having looked at the job and informed the customer that I will need to get parts, I stopped off at the shore to take a quick snap across Hoy Sound.
Back home via Stenness and a leak repair, I had time to chase the mower round the grass which is growing incredibly quickly after a few damp days.
