Portpatrick

We left our quiet camp and drove along the coast, stopping at Kirkcidbright as my cousin said the old town hall had been converted into a new gallery. They had a show of various pieces from collections all over Scotland, including a Picasso among various Scottish colourists like Peploe and Fergusson.

We then headed to Portpatrick where we met my cousin Duncan who had brought his van to a nice spot. Our vans can be spotted on the right by the cliff. We had a walk along the coast above the vans, and back round via his daughter’s house which has a stunning view. I I took the blip on our way back from there. We ate in a pub with Duncan and had a good chat, keeping clear if the falling pound, Brexit etc. (He is the right-wing Brexiteer)
