Tawny-barred Angle

I had this beautiful little moth in my trap last night, which was a nice surprise as most of what I have been catching lately have been 'little brown jobs'!
The Tawny-barred Angle Macaria liturata is a species found in coniferous woodland (which of course totally explains why it was in my garden without a conifer in sight!) It is fairly common throughout Britain and flies in June and July with a second brood in August in the south. 
I have added another shot of my Pale tussock larvae in extras, these guys are just so photogenic!
