Back blip

Took myself down to Strathclyde Park, Motherwell, on Friday afternoon to watch the Men's Individual Triathlon race as part of the European Championships multi-sport event being held in and around Glasgow.

A gruelling swim in Strathclyde Loch was followed by a cycle race consisting of several laps of the park and then a run of several laps of a different route in the park, having to change from swim-gear into cycling-gear and finally running-gear as the competitors moved from one discipline to the next. Officials are on hand to make sure that the gear at the end of each discipline is not discarded but placed in a box by each competitor's 'post'.

Today's blip shows one competitor changing from his swimming gear, i.e. removing his wetsuit, into his cycling gear. I've also attached a few extras of what was, at least for those watching and not participating, a very enjoyable afternoon.
