Garden Joy
Maybe there’s still a good deal to tackle but at last our garden has some semblance of colour.
Sadly it was becoming somewhat overrun with weeds and lack of attention which meant that much of it had become out of hand. That’s one of the downsides of passing years, and our gardening activity repressed by recent sessions of hospital stays.
Shame, because the garden has always been pride and joy particularly for the lady of the house, and we reluctantly had to accept there were some things we could no longer do. And apart from regularly cutting the grass, for me that included wielding a fork and spade on hard sun-baked soil this summer.
But then a minor miracle. We found someone with a love for gardening who could take charge of bringing the garden back to shape. Now the start has been made, we hope she will be able to restore the garden back to life. Ridding this border of weeds for a start, turning the soil and the addition of a few bedding plants brings back colour and the beginning of bringing life back to our garden at long last.
Thank you Caroline.
