Cheesy Venice

Well, we did have cheese as part of our very extensive breakfast spread...
Wandering the streets of Venice before 8am was a good option as they were much clearer of people. I hasten to add, not empty.
Well breakfasted, we checked out and headed back on the water bus to the airport before the pleasures of our drive back to the Ardeche. 
This time we opted for the coastal route via Genoa and the Cote d'Azur and it was a much more pleasant journey, although the pleasures of short tunnels followed by bridges followed by more tunnels palled after a while.
On our arrival at 9pm, Ruadh was very happy to see us, the children having left her in the house in the late morning. Nice to be back home.
