James Robert Truck

This dog was dumped (literally) at my mother in laws house yesterday. He has really bad mange and an odor....

But they couldn't rustle up anyone to take him. At the same time we were considering whether to take him. His middle name is Truck because a close friend is helping us out - adopting a dumped dog with problems could not come at a worse time really.

Anyway, long story short, we made the call to a very relieved mother in law who was more than happy for us to have him and we collected him this morning. Booked straight to our vet to get him on medication.

Looks like he has heart worms which they'll deal with first, and then ramp up the antibiotics for the demonic mites (or whatever they are called). The bad odor seems to be something someone rubbed into his coat sometime ago (maybe a holistic treatment).

He's going to live outside for the time being which is kinda killing us because we want to know he's ok. But he is, retired to the workshop so we put his bedding in there.

He'll be coming to work with me each day, bought him a long chain today which he'll be on until I can trust him not to run off. Got a lot of training ahead with this little chap.

BTW, this is his photo face, he's much happier in real life. He's also a young American Bulldog. Probably.
