Diary of an Edinburgher

Foot wash

The first new item for the new bathroom arrived today. It's the only thing we're ordering, everything else is coming from the bathroom shop. We had to order it now (a big square mirror with black frame) as they only had three left. We had to stay in for the delivery, but once it had arrived, we strolled across to Bruntsfield.

We had lunch in the wee French patisserie (dog friendly, no muzak, French waitresses), and then popped into the pub for a drink.

On the way home, we met the neighbours on the Links. Archie went running up to say hello to them without barking, which was great. He still barks his head off in the back garden when he sees them. In fact, the wee girl held his lead all the way home, and did some more tricks with him in the back garden and she was delighted. He's so sweet when he doesn’t bark.

And then he barked and barked, for no apparent reason, and spoiled it all. The wee girl got upset and departed inside in haste.

He still chews at his paws sometimes, so JR washes them regularly in special stuff. He's a good boy, and just stands there, looking miserable.
