On East Pier...
Whitby FW - backblip 4 (Monday)
...Remains of a capstan. (At least that's what I think it is!)
Spent most of the day on the stall, apart from popping out to fetch some lunch. Angus, MrM's son, joined us, with the supposed intention of helping us out on the stall, and MrM went with him up to the campsite for a while, to help him pitch his tent.
After an excellent evening meal at Humble Pie 'n' Mash, MrM and I met up with Angus. He had hoped to take some breathtaking photos of Whitby or the abbey in evening sunlight but, unfortunately, it turned out to be a rather mizzly. So neither of succeeded in taking the shot we were hoping for!
We all wandered along the east pier, and then back along the sand in to the town. Ventured in to a couple of pubs in search of some music, but failed to find any - maybe it was just too early - so we had a drink in the Golden Lion before returning to the campsite for a relatively early night.
Blipfoto tells me that this is number 2000! Many thanks for dropping by, and giving stars and hearts along the way - they're all very much appreciated. And apologies. Time is short so, despite good intentions, I rarely manage to comment or contribute as much to the community as I'd like. It's just good to know you're there...
