Bank Holiday Monday
We've had quite a relaxing bank holiday, starting with breakfast at the White Cliffs Cafe with Sandra, Lu and their daughters Lana and Nieve. The White Cliffs has become our new favourite place after our date night on Thursday - we never really went there apart from a coffee on the terrace every now and then, but it's under new management, and the new owners have already made vast improvements in the two months that they've had it. Anyway, breakfast was really good, Alan and I had Eggs Benedict and it was lovely to catch up with Sandra and Lu.
We then went back down to Madeira Drive to see if the Mods were still around and there were quite a few, but no where near as many as on Saturday. I took both camera bodies, one with my wide angle lens and one with my zoom , so much better than having to change them constantly. I found a 'retro' setting on my camera that I didn't know I had, so decided to have a play around with it, and think it worked well with the Mods.
We then had a walk on the pier and then wandered into Kemp Town where we stopped at Metro Deco for a coffee and a coke. Surprisingly Brighton was very quiet which we can only put down to the weather, normally bank holidays are really busy with tourists, but today it was like a very quiet Sunday.
I'm off work for the rest of the week as I'm heading North tomorrow for a few days of Nanny duty - it's the last week of the school holidays for Scarlett, so I'm looking after her while Rachel is at work, and on Wednesday I'll have both girls. So I've done my packing and will be having an early night as I plan on leaving about 6am in the morning - I have to pick Scarlett up from her summer club at David Lloyd at 1pm.
I've somehow got a little behind again on commenting, so hope you've all had a good weekend!
