A little bit of Downton?..

My mums serving spoons - bit posh! Apparently they have been in the family over 100 years ........wonder if Downton have spoons like these?! These spoons are not to be played with, my Dad was warned. Wondering why? Dad (don't chuckle!) plays the spoons , yep you read right, he's very good at it and it is kind of funny, he only plays for family! He was on good form tonight and didn't want us to leave, that nearly choked me up so we had another cuppa and then played the guessing game with dad saying randomly 'you remember Jim'. Don't recall a Jim! Half an hour in we finally get to the bottom of Jim...yep some guy from the RAF in the late 50's. Poor Mum she does a really good job at guessing. Funny what strokes do to memory, at least dad has a memory even if it does mean we spend ages 'playing guess who dad is talking about'
