Rebar

It is not every day one gets to visit an ongoing construction site, especially clad in shorts and flip flops, but my friend Mike took me to his favorite jobsite to see the creation of a second story floor. I tried a number of angles in an attempt to show the rebar extending off into the distance, but ended up liking this simple composition of a future support column against a rough wood form (especially after a little post processing enhancement in Lightroom). It was a good thing we went early in the day because soon after I left for the beach the cement trucks started arriving and had covered all this photogenic rebar with fresh, grey cement by the time I returned.
