King of the Pond

A closely cropped photo but one that I was happy to get as this little kingfisher drove me crazy in the Spring.  What is it about Kingfishers?  They seem to know exactly where humans are (with cameras) and will fly to the furthest point away from you.  It is like playing "monkey in the middle" where I am the monkey!

He had been perched on a branch and I caught him as he dove down to the water.  Blip sorted  : )

Two hours of sleep last night....so off to bed early. Yawn...
