Sea Swimmers

The view from one of the cafes in the village. Today the Skala Eressou International Women’s Festival started. There are many activities taking place including a daily sea swim to the rock pictured in this blip. This morning we timed our walk to the village to watch the swim. There were around 25 women swimming, accompanied by a few kayaks for safety. During the height of the festival there will be many more swimmers. After the swim the participants gather in one of the cafes called the Buddha Bar, for a coffee and bite to eat.

Other than our walk, today has consisted of a pre- breakfast game of tennis and, for Andy, sailing, along with a healthy dose of sitting and chatting and reading.
