I have found a new name for France Dweller - The Exile! She really does love France and is feeling quite homesick! It's not been an easy decision for her to return to the UK and until she is back in her own house and has found a job it is understandable she feels rather displaced and unsettled. So for the moment She will be The Exile!
So today it was a trip to Tavistock to deposit all my stuff to their new homes! The usual round of Second hand shop, Oxfam bookshop, Hospice and recycling tip! Also a trip to the post office as I had two parcels for blippers! It was the food market outside the town hall so we had a look and found this flamboyant fish seller and lovely Fungi seller! I would have bought some fish but it was late afternoon and there were a lot of flies and wasps on the fish! We did buy some soda bread and a mixture of fungi! I'd planned on a Morrrisons supermarket shop but luckily the Co-Op had all I needed! We were all done in an hour! Such a great feeling to have all my unwanted stuff out of my house! We had to take The Exiles car as there was so much! It's quite strange being driven in a left hand car - a passenger in the driving seat with no controls! I felt obliged to acknowledge other drivers who gave way to us en route! But it meant if she wanted to make funny manoeuvres the French license plates gave her an excuse, if not perhaps much forgiveness from other drivers!
Sadly on arriving home I realised I'd forgotten to buy Quinoa from the health food shop so had to substitute Buckwheat which was actually fine! I made a tomatoey spinach curry with a gooseberry and mustard chutney - using gooseberries from my allotment! It's rather good to have someone to cook for and share meals with - plus she does all the washing-up! I hate washing -up almost as much as I hate ironing!
