Combine

The Intense One and I were up on the allotment early to release the new girls into the flock. We expected hen pecking as the old girls established the pecking order but no! The ex batts stayed and had the occassional peck at the new girls, but the rest moved into the coop run and stayed there! Too funny! We gave the main coop a good clean then The Intense One left and I went to dig a new kale bed on my plot. There were no sounds of discord from the coop and when I went back to check on them the old girls were still in the run whilst the new girls were freeranging on the plot! I gave them some treats which brought the old girls out, but once they had eaten they all disappeared under the brambles! 
Come the eve we were both back to put them to bed. As expected the new girls were going all round the small coop tryingto get in! We had to catch them one by one and pop them in the main coop! Surprisingly once in they made no attempt to come back out! It will be interesting to see how many nights it takes them to accept their new sleeping quarters!
