Pensive

A full day and evening in Glasgow.

With Lynne from the team, I was participating at the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration staff event. Nearly 200 from SCRA present; their Board members including Michelle Miller their recently appointed Chair; the Minister Maree Todd MSP; Bruce Adamson the Commissioner for Children and Young People in Scotland; Fiona and Adam from the Care Review and several others!

Rights and corporate parenting featured strongly and in the panel sessions in which I participated, discussions about the likely impact of the review; attendance and participation of children at hearings , rights and the role of the chair.

Good enthusiastic day. Logged in at one of the Scottish Government buildings for an hour or so then on to a dinner and discussion event at Strathclyde University, hosted by CYCJ and Sacro on youth justice issues. Train back with more discussions and home just before midnight.
