Life can be brutal
Thanks for the lovely messages last night. Am making strides and really trying to leave any feelings of guilt aside - your messages have really helped. Instead, I am focusing on my mother-in-law's recovery, looking after my baby girl and giving my husband the space and time he needs to look after his family.
Unfortunately, my mother-in-law has gone on to have two further epileptic seizures in the past twenty-four hours. This morning she was taken for a scan at the specialist unit she has been transferred to. The scan revealed that she didn't have a stroke on Saturday, it was actually a brain haemorrhage.
She has more tests tomorrow.
In a cruel twist of fate, her Mum (and my husband's Grandma) who is 86 and already very poorly herself had an angina attack this morning too, brought on by her stress about her daughter. She is OK now but it was very scary for a few hours.
Life is so brutal right now.
I managed to distract myself (as much as is possible in the circumstances) today with Audrey and some positive business meetings in Manchester. Helped by my wonderful who took charge at home looking after Audrey (my Dad even building her new cot that has arrived).
But any talk of anything else seems so trivial so for now I can't bring myself to record it.
My husband is hoping to come home to sleep here tonight so I am off to get things ready so he can flop when he arrives. Thanks again for all the support and messages.
Today's blip pic is of our picture wall in the lounge. The gap is where there was a picture of Audrey. It is currently by my mother-in-law's bedside in hospital.
