Flower in the pond

It has felt cold today with a blustery wind so I only ventured out for a short walk.  The garden still has colour in it but is looking quite autumnal now.  This flower had parted company with its plant and was floating in the pond.  I received a text from E. who sent me a photo of her room at Uni which she has made look very homely.
