Petals & Buds

Pleased to report we did keep our quiz winning streak going last night, another first, +£22 in the kitty, might make £300 by Christmas if we are lucky ;-)

Went to bed wuite late, slept well, until Mr John Lewis delivering something opposite, at 7.35am, how rude!!! Dozed a little on and off but eventually got up........

Watched some of the Ryder Cup golf this morning, Europe pretty unlucky....not the best start, plenty of time yet ;-)

Drove into town just before midday to meet up with youngest and DiL.....no sign of them, tried to contact them, couldnt, a bit of panic started to set in.....we went to the Cafe where we had agreed to meet for lunch, ot there either!

All is well, he rung me 10 minutes after we sat down, saying they had cancelled the appointment they had in town, which was why we were meeting up in the first place and had meant to text me last night, but they got watching a film, then fell asleep.....turns out they are making the most of,this good weather doing some work,in their,garden whilst they have a few days off work. Hey ho, as long as all is well dont mind being stood up ;-))

After lunch it was grocery shopping and back home. Now catching up on the golf again, a bit better this afternoon Europe so far anyhow!

There is a chicken roasting in the oven, it smells lovely! Thats for something Im making for over the weekend........think it will be prawns this evening, not sure yet.

Its been a while since Ive contributed to Bikerbears Flower Friday, so thought this late flowering rose, and its little buds, would do the trick.

Looking forward to the return of Graham Norton Show tonight.....especially as its featuring Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper! Cant wait to see the new version of A Star is Born, loved the earlier versions!!!
