Enchanted hillside
This amazing array of autumn colours grows on the hillside beside the Victorian fernery in Benmore Gardens; today I was viewing it from above what is almost steep enough to be a cliff. This is exactly as it appeared on this fairly grey afternoon - I haven't done anything to enhance the colours at all. I think the fact that the sun wasn't shining actually does that for me - it was amazing. Actually much of the garden is looking pretty amazing today; I took far too many photos and had quite a choice to make. Oh - there were red squirrels too ...
My extra photo is of the lovely early morning light on the Firth of Clyde. Correction - it's not really all that early, as the sun no longer wakes me at 4am and I didn't have to get up specially to take photos. But it was good to see the sunshine and the perfect blue sky.
